Let’s be honest. We all know the word ‘game’ has a negative connotation. It’s often used to describe something that isn’t sport, or as a derogatory term for just what it is we do. But you know what? The world needs more positive words about sport to counter the negatives. If we can start using positive vocabulary around our sport, maybe people won’t fear trying it or saying it. Maybe people won’t be tempted to call someone a ‘grind’ or a ‘cutter’ even though they are completely wrong.
